Iceland’s vast remote wilderness is one of the largest in Europe. This rugged terrain is the proposed location for the building of several hydropower plants and associated roads and power lines, which would result in far-reaching wilderness destruction.

The Strandir wilderness area of Iceland’s westfjords needs to be protected for its natural beauty and the potential it has to offer to local and global communities in the future.
